Personal Physician Care offers one of the most complete outpatient diabetes management programs in South Florida. We have two board-certified endocrinologists on staff — Dr. William Shapse and Dr. Danielle Neuman — along with an in-house pharmacist and on-site lab for HbA1c and metabolic monitoring. For patients managing Type 1 or Type 2 diabetes, this coordination under one roof is genuinely rare.
Our diabetes care covers initial diagnosis and workup, HbA1c and glucose monitoring through in-house lab, insulin and oral medication management, continuous glucose monitor (CGM) interpretation and guidance, dietary and lifestyle counseling, kidney function monitoring (eGFR, creatinine), diabetic foot risk assessment, coordination with ophthalmology and nephrology when needed, and CDC-certified Diabetes Prevention Program for patients at risk of Type 2 diabetes.
Many primary care practices refer diabetes patients outward to an endocrinologist — often with a wait of weeks or months. At PPC, endocrinology is in-house. Dr. Shapse has been managing diabetes and metabolic disorders in South Florida for over three decades. Dr. Neuman brings additional expertise in metabolic medicine, PCOS, weight management, and hormone optimization alongside diabetes. Patients get access to this depth without leaving their primary care home.
PPC's in-house pharmacist reviews all medications for interactions, adherence issues, and cost-effectiveness. For diabetic patients on multiple medications — a common scenario — this is a meaningful safety and efficacy resource. Medication changes are coordinated directly with your endocrinologist or primary care physician, not handled through a phone tree.
PPC is accepting new diabetes patients at all three locations. Call us or book online to schedule with one of our endocrinologists.
