Personal Physician Care performs immigration medical examinations at our South Florida locations. The immigration physical — officially the Form I-693 Report of Medical Examination and Vaccination Record — is a required part of the green card (adjustment of status) application process, and it must be completed by a physician authorized to perform it.
U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) requires most green card applicants to undergo a medical examination to confirm they do not have health conditions that would make them inadmissible. The exam reviews your medical history, checks for certain communicable diseases, verifies required vaccinations, and screens for other conditions defined by USCIS and the CDC. The results are recorded on Form I-693, signed, and sealed for submission with your application.
A typical immigration medical exam includes: review of your medical and vaccination history, a physical examination, required screening tests as specified by USCIS and CDC guidelines, review and administration of any vaccinations required for immigration (which PPCare can provide in-house), and completion, signing, and sealing of Form I-693 for your records and submission.
To make your visit efficient, bring a government-issued photo ID, your vaccination records (so we can identify any required immunizations you still need), a list of current medications, and any relevant prior medical records. If you need vaccines to satisfy immigration requirements, PPCare can administer them during the process so everything is completed in one place.
As a full multi-specialty practice with in-house lab and vaccination services, PPCare can handle the examination, any required testing, and needed immunizations together — rather than sending you to separate facilities. Our team understands that this exam is a time-sensitive step in your application and works to complete your paperwork accurately and promptly.
